Ensure the gas supply is connected and turned on. Turn the control knob to the 'light' position and press while using the igniter button to ignite the flame. Hold the knob for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
Check the gas supply to ensure it’s on. Verify the igniter is sparking, and that the control knob is in the correct position. Inspect the battery in the igniter if applicable, and ensure all connections are secure.
Clean the burner at least once a month during the operating season to ensure optimal performance. Remove any debris or dust buildup around the burner and check for any clogged ports.
The Realflame C539LP is designed for use with liquid propane gas. Ensure you are using an appropriate propane tank and regulator for safe operation.
Turn off the gas supply and disconnect the propane tank. Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Cover it with a weather-resistant cover if storing outdoors.
A yellow flame can indicate incomplete combustion. Check for blockages in the burner ports and ensure the air shutter is adjusted correctly. Clean any debris from the burner area.
Conversion from propane to natural gas is not recommended unless specified by the manufacturer. Always refer to the product manual and consult a professional for any conversions.
Immediately turn off the gas supply and extinguish any open flames. Do not attempt to light the unit. Vent the area and check for leaks using a soap and water solution. Contact a professional if necessary.
Adjust the control knob to increase the flame height. Ensure the gas flow is unobstructed and the burner ports are clean for optimal performance.
While not strictly necessary, using a cover can help protect your unit from dust, debris, and weather elements, extending its lifespan and maintaining its appearance.
