To ignite the Realflame 590LP, ensure the gas supply is connected and turned on. Turn the control knob to the 'Ignite' position and press the igniter button until the flame appears. Hold the knob for 10-15 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
If the pilot light won't stay lit, check for any blockages in the pilot orifice, ensure the thermocouple is positioned correctly and clean, and verify that the gas pressure is sufficient.
To clean the burner, turn off the gas supply and disconnect the appliance. Remove the burner assembly and use a soft brush to remove any debris. Ensure all ports are clear before reassembling.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the burner and pilot assembly, checking for gas leaks, inspecting the hose and connections, and ensuring the unit is free from dust and debris.
Low flame issues can result from low gas pressure, partially closed gas valves, or clogged burner ports. Verify the gas supply is adequate and inspect the burner for obstructions.
Ensure the gas supply is turned off and disconnected. Clean the appliance thoroughly, cover it to protect against dust, and store it in a cool, dry place to prevent rust and corrosion.
A strong gas odor could indicate a gas leak. Immediately turn off the gas supply, ventilate the area, and check all connections. If the issue persists, contact a qualified technician.
Adjust the flame height by turning the control knob. For further adjustments, consult the manual to access the screw on the control valve to fine-tune the flame height.
Signs include the pilot light not staying lit, irregular burner flame, or the appliance not igniting. Inspect the thermocouple for damage or dirt and replace if necessary.
To replace the igniter, disconnect the gas supply, remove the front panel, and detach the old igniter. Install the new igniter, ensuring all connections are secure, and reassemble the unit.
