The car adaptor is designed for supplying power from the cigarette lighter socket to the Panasonic computer series. Before using the car adaptor, read this instruction manual and the relevant portions of the computer's instruction manual carefully.

Use This Product with Only the Specified Voltage Otherwise,afireduetooverheatingmayresult. Do Not Do Anything That May Damage the Cord, the Car Plug, or the Car Adaptor Donotdamageormodifythecord,placeitnearhottools,bend, twist,orpull it forcefully,placeheavyobjectsonit,orbundle it tightly. Continuing to use a damaged cord may result in fire, short circuit, or electric shock. Do Not Pull or Insert the Car Plug If Your Hands Are Wet Electric shock may result. Insert the Car Plug Completely Iftheplugisnotinsertedcompletely,fireduetooverheatingor electric shock may result. Donotuseadamagedplugorloosecigarettelightersocket. Hold the Plug When Unplugging the Car Plug Pullingonthecordmaydamagethecord,resultinginafireor electric shock. Do Not Move This Product While the Car Plug Is Connected Thecordmaybedamaged,resultinginfireorelectricshock. Ifthecordisdamaged,unplugtheCarplugimmediately. Do Not Subject the Car Adaptor To Any Strong Impact Using thecaradaptorafterastrong impact suchasbeing droppedmayresultinelectricshock,shortcircuit,orfire. Usingthisproductcontinuouslyinahotenvironmentwillshorten the product life. Avoid use in these types of environments.

About the Car Plug Dependingontheautomobile(especiallyEuropeanauto- mobiles),theholeofthecigarettelightersocketmaybe too large, resulting in a poor connection. In such cases, set theadjustable portionof theplug to the [W] (i.e., wide) side. [W]:wide [N]:narrow Changing the Fuse Asshowninthefigureontheright,removethetipportion of the plug, and replace the old fuse with a new one (8 A).

Do not leave the product connected to the cigarette lighter socket. Leaving the product connected may overheat the batteryofthecar,resultinginfailuretostartthecar.*2
*2Toprevent thebattery of the car fromoverheating, reduce the input voltage to 10 Vtoenablethecaradaptortostopoperating automatically.
Do not attempt to operate your computer while driving, as thismayresultinanautomobileaccident.Besuretopark theautomobile in a safe locationbeforeusing the com- puter.
The cigarette lighter socket voltage may drop during cell motor startup, engine stalling, etc. (The car adaptor auto- maticallystopsoperatingwhentheinputvoltagefallsbelow 10 V.)Ifthishappensthecomputerdatamaybecorrupted, sobesuretoalwaysmountachargedbatterypackinthe computer during use.
