To descale the Nespresso Inissia D40, fill the water tank with a descaling solution and water. Place a container under the coffee outlet. Switch the machine on, press both coffee buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to start the descaling mode, then press the Lungo button to begin descaling. Repeat the process with clean water to rinse.
Ensure the water tank is filled and properly positioned. Check if the capsule is inserted correctly and the lever is fully closed. Also, check for any blockages in the capsule compartment and ensure the machine is switched on and warmed up.
To adjust the coffee volume, press and hold the desired coffee button (Espresso or Lungo) until the desired volume is reached, then release the button. The machine will remember this setting for future brews.
Check if the water tank is correctly positioned and not overfilled. Ensure the drip tray and capsule container are properly in place. Inspect for any visible cracks or damage. If the problem persists, contact Nespresso support.
Regularly clean the water tank, drip tray, and used capsule container with warm soapy water. Wipe the machine's exterior with a damp cloth. Run a water-only cycle to clean the internal components. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Ensure the machine is adequately preheated before use. Pre-warm your cup with hot water. Descale the machine regularly to prevent blockages that may affect temperature.
Flashing buttons may indicate the machine is heating up or needs descaling. If the issue persists after descaling, reset the machine by unplugging it, waiting for a few seconds, and then plugging it back in.
To reset the Nespresso Inissia D40, turn the machine off, then press and hold the Lungo button while turning the machine back on. Hold the button until the LEDs blink rapidly three times.
While it is possible to use compatible third-party capsules, it is recommended to use official Nespresso capsules for optimal performance, taste, and to maintain the warranty of the machine.
Check for blockages in the nozzle or capsule compartment. Ensure the water tank is filled and properly seated. Run a cleaning cycle to clear any obstructions. If the problem persists, consult Nespresso support.
