To descale your Nespresso Expert machine, fill the water tank with one unit of descaling solution and water. Place a container under the coffee outlet, press the button for 6 seconds until the descaling alert blinks, then run the cycle. Follow with a rinse cycle using fresh water.
If your machine is not brewing, check the water tank for sufficient water, ensure the capsule is inserted correctly, and verify that the machine is plugged in and turned on. Perform a reset if necessary.
To reset your machine to factory settings, press and hold the Espresso and Lungo buttons together for 5 seconds until the LEDs blink rapidly. This will reset the cup sizes and other settings.
If your machine is leaking, check the water tank and ensure it is properly seated. Inspect the drip tray and capsule container for overflow. Also, examine any seals or gaskets for wear and tear.
To change the cup size, insert a capsule, choose your desired cup size (Ristretto, Espresso, Lungo), and hold the button until the desired volume is reached. The machine will remember this setting.
A blinking red light usually indicates that the machine needs descaling or that there is an error. Refer to the user manual for specific troubleshooting steps related to the blinking pattern.
Regularly clean the water tank, drip tray, and capsule container with warm soapy water. Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the machine. Avoid using abrasive materials that could damage the machine.
If your machine isn’t heating, check that it’s plugged in and turned on. Allow it to preheat for the required time. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
While some third-party capsules may fit, it's recommended to use Nespresso capsules for optimal performance and to avoid potential damage to the machine.
It's recommended to descale your Nespresso Expert every 3 months or after approximately 300 capsules, whichever comes first, to maintain the performance and longevity of the machine.
