To reset the Miele PFD 101 U Dishwasher, press and hold the 'Start/Stop' button until the LED light turns off, then release the button. This will reset the current cycle and any error messages.
Miele recommends using its own brand of dishwasher detergent for optimal performance, but any high-quality, low-sudsing detergent designed for dishwashers will also work effectively.
To clean the filter, remove the lower basket and turn the filter unit counterclockwise. Take it out and rinse it under running water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove stubborn particles. Reinstall the filter by placing it back and turning it clockwise until it locks.
If the dishwasher is not draining properly, check the filter for clogs, ensure the drain hose is not kinked, and inspect the kitchen sink drain for blockages. Clean any debris and ensure the drain pump is functioning correctly.
Inspect the door seal for any damage and replace it if necessary. Also, make sure the dishwasher is level and that the spray arms are not obstructed. Check for any cracks or damage in the hose connections.
To descale the dishwasher, use a descaling agent recommended by Miele. Add the descaler to the detergent compartment and run a normal wash cycle without any dishes inside. Follow the product instructions for the correct dosage.
Arrange dishes so that the soiled surfaces are exposed to the water spray. Avoid overcrowding and ensure that larger items do not block the spray arms. Place pots and pans facing downwards and avoid nesting items.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as this helps with the drying process. Select a high-temperature wash cycle and use the 'Extra Dry' option if available. Ensure that the dishwasher's heating element is functioning correctly.
Error code F24 indicates a heating issue. Check that the water supply is adequate and that the inlet valve is functioning properly. If the problem persists, contact Miele service for further assistance.
Regularly clean the filter and door seals, and run an empty hot wash cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to remove buildup. Ensure dishes are rinsed before loading and that the dishwasher is used regularly to prevent stagnant water.
