To adjust the temperature, locate the control panel on the refrigerator's interior. Use the temperature control buttons to set your desired temperature for both the fridge and freezer compartments.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure that the temperature settings are correct, and clean any dust from the condenser coils. If the issue persists, contact LG customer support.
Locate the water filter compartment inside the refrigerator. Twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove it, and insert the new filter by twisting it clockwise until it is secure. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to clear any air.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. To fix this, unplug the refrigerator and locate the drain hole, usually found at the back of the fridge. Use a turkey baster with warm water to clear the blockage.
For optimal performance, clean the condenser coils every 6 months. This can help improve efficiency and prevent overheating.
To defrost the freezer, remove all items and unplug the refrigerator. Leave the freezer door open to allow ice to melt naturally. You can place towels to absorb water. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging it back in.
Locate the light cover inside the refrigerator. Remove it by unscrewing or unclipping it, depending on the model. Replace the old bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage, then reattach the cover.
Clean the door gasket with warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly. Check for any damages or deformities. If the gasket is damaged, it may need replacement. Ensure the refrigerator is level and the door hinges are aligned.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button on the control panel for 3 seconds. This will disable the controls to prevent accidental changes. To deactivate, repeat the process.
Unusual noises can be due to a variety of issues such as an unlevel refrigerator, items inside vibrating, or the compressor and fans operating. Check for these issues and adjust accordingly. If the noise persists, consult the user manual or contact support.
