To reset the water filter indicator, press and hold the 'Filter Reset' button for 3 seconds. The indicator light should turn off.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the breaker is not tripped. Make sure the vents inside are not blocked and the door seals are clean and intact. If the problem persists, consider contacting LG customer service for further assistance.
To change the temperature settings, use the control panel located on the front of the refrigerator. Press the 'Refrigerator' or 'Freezer' button to adjust the temperature to the desired setting.
Ice buildup can occur due to a faulty door seal or if the freezer door is left open. Ensure the door is closing properly and not obstructed. If the issue continues, defrost the freezer and monitor if the problem recurs.
To clean the condenser coils, unplug the refrigerator and locate the coils, usually at the back or beneath the unit. Use a vacuum cleaner or a coil brush to remove dust and debris.
Store raw meat on the bottom shelf to prevent drips onto other foods, keep dairy products in the colder areas, and use the crisper drawers for fruits and vegetables. Ensure air vents are not blocked by food items.
Check if the refrigerator is level and on a stable surface. Ensure it is not touching walls or cabinets, which can cause vibrations. If the noise persists, inspect the fan and compressor areas for any loose parts.
Ensure the ice maker is turned on and the water supply line is connected and not kinked. Check the temperature settings to ensure they are cold enough for ice production. If issues persist, reset the ice maker by turning it off and on again.
It is recommended to replace the water filter every 6 months or when the indicator light comes on, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal water quality and flow rate.
A clicking sound can be normal as the compressor cycles on and off. However, if the sound is persistent and loud, it could indicate a relay or compressor issue that may require professional service.
