LG LMXC23746D Owner's Manual

To change the water filter, locate the filter compartment inside the refrigerator, usually at the upper left corner. Turn the old filter counterclockwise and pull it out. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until secure. Run water through the dispenser for 2-3 gallons to purge air and impurities.
Ensure that the refrigerator is plugged in and the temperature settings are correct. Check if the vents inside are blocked by food items. Clean the condenser coils located at the back or beneath the unit. If the problem persists, contact LG customer support for further assistance.
To reset the ice maker, locate the on/off switch or the reset button on the ice maker unit. Turn it off, wait for a few minutes, then turn it back on. Alternatively, press and hold the test button until you hear a chime.
It's recommended to clean the condenser coils every 6 months. This helps maintain efficient cooling and prolongs the life of your refrigerator. Use a vacuum or a soft brush to remove dust and debris.
Water pooling can occur due to a clogged defrost drain. Locate the drain hole, usually at the back of the unit, and clear any blockages using warm water and a pipe cleaner. Ensure the drain pan underneath is not overflowing.
To activate Sabbath mode, press and hold the "Freezer" and "Ice Plus" buttons simultaneously for five seconds. The display will show "Sb" indicating the mode is active. To deactivate, repeat the process.
The recommended temperature for the refrigerator compartment is 37°F (3°C) and for the freezer compartment is 0°F (-18°C). These settings ensure optimal food preservation and energy efficiency.
To disable the door alarm, open the refrigerator door and press the "Alarm" button on the control panel until the indicator light turns off. The alarm is now disabled.
Ensure that the ice maker is turned on and the water line is connected. Check if the water filter needs replacement. Inspect the ice maker for any visible jams or blockages. If the issue continues, consider resetting the ice maker.
To improve energy efficiency, ensure that the door seals are clean and free from gaps. Keep the refrigerator well-organized to allow air circulation. Avoid placing hot food directly inside and keep the unit away from heat sources like ovens and direct sunlight.
