To reset the ice maker, locate the reset button on the side or bottom of the ice maker unit. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds until you hear a chime, indicating the reset is complete.
Check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure the temperature settings are correct. Clean the condenser coils and check for any obstructions in the airflow. If the problem persists, contact LG customer support.
To replace the water filter, turn off the water supply, open the filter compartment, and remove the old filter. Insert the new filter until it clicks into place, then turn the water supply back on and run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to flush the system.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Clear any debris from the drain located at the back of the fridge. If the problem continues, inspect the water line for leaks or contact a technician.
The recommended temperature setting for the refrigerator is 37°F (3°C) and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer. Adjust as needed to maintain optimal food preservation.
Unplug the refrigerator and locate the condenser coils, usually at the back or bottom. Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Clean the area thoroughly and plug the refrigerator back in.
Ensure the refrigerator doors are fully closed and no food items are blocking them. Check the door seals for damage or debris. If the alarm persists, reset the refrigerator by unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in.
To increase ice production, lower the freezer temperature and ensure the ice maker is turned on. Avoid opening the freezer door frequently and check that the water line is connected properly.
Unusual noises can be caused by the refrigerator not being level. Check to ensure all four corners are firmly on the floor. Additionally, make sure items inside are not vibrating against each other. If the noise persists, inspect the fan motor and compressor.
To activate the child lock feature, press and hold the lock button on the control panel for 3 seconds. This will disable the controls and prevent any accidental changes.
