To change the water filter, locate the filter compartment inside the refrigerator. Turn the old filter counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Run water through the dispenser for about 5 minutes to clear any air and impurities.
Check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the temperature settings are correct. Clean the condenser coils located at the back or beneath the fridge. If the problem persists, consider contacting LG customer service for further assistance.
To reset the ice maker, locate the reset button on the ice maker unit. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds until you hear a beep. Release the button and wait 24 hours for the ice production to resume.
Use a soft cloth and mild detergent to clean the stainless steel surface. Wipe in the direction of the grain. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or cloths, which can scratch the surface. For a polished look, you can use a stainless steel cleaner or polish.
To adjust the temperature settings, press the 'Refrigerator' or 'Freezer' button on the control panel. Use the '+' or '-' buttons to set the desired temperature. Optimal settings are usually around 37°F for the refrigerator and 0°F for the freezer.
Water pooling can occur if the defrost drain is blocked. Check and clear any debris or ice blocking the drain hole located at the bottom of the fridge. If the problem continues, inspect the water line connections for leaks.
Unplug the refrigerator or turn off the circuit breaker. Locate the light cover inside the fridge and remove it. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and restore power to the refrigerator.
Noises can be due to various reasons, such as the fridge being unlevel, items inside vibrating, or the compressor and fans operating. Ensure the refrigerator is on a level surface and check for any loose items or components. Persistent noise may require professional inspection.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the 'Child Lock' button on the control panel for 3 seconds. The lock indicator will illuminate, indicating that all panel functions are disabled. Repeat the process to deactivate the lock.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the condenser coils every 6 months, checking and replacing the water filter every 6 months, ensuring door seals are clean and intact, and periodically checking for any unusual noises or leaks.
