To reset the water filter indicator, press and hold the 'RESET' or 'FILTER' button on the control panel for 3 seconds. The indicator light should turn off, indicating a successful reset.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the vents inside the refrigerator are not blocked by food items and that the door seals are clean and intact. If the problem persists, consider contacting LG customer support for further assistance.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils at least twice a year. Doing so will ensure the refrigerator operates efficiently and extends its lifespan.
Potential causes include a clogged water filter, a frozen water line, or the ice maker being turned off. Check these areas and replace the water filter if necessary. Ensure the ice maker is turned on and the freezer temperature is set correctly.
To change the temperature settings, use the control panel located on the front of the refrigerator. Press the 'REFRIGERATOR' button to adjust the fridge temperature and the 'FREEZER' button to adjust the freezer temperature.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Clean the drain hole located at the back of the fridge compartment using warm water or a turkey baster to clear any obstruction.
To replace the interior light bulb, first unplug the refrigerator. Remove the light cover by pressing the release tabs or unscrewing it. Replace the old bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage, then reattach the cover.
Unusual noises could be due to the refrigerator not being level, items inside vibrating, or the condenser fan hitting an obstruction. Ensure the refrigerator is level and check for any loose items. If noise persists, inspect the fan for obstructions.
To improve energy efficiency, ensure the door seals are clean and not damaged, keep the refrigerator and freezer full but not overcrowded, and maintain the recommended temperature settings (37°F for the refrigerator and 0°F for the freezer).
Remove the shelves and drawers from the refrigerator and wash them with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry them completely before placing them back inside the refrigerator. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.
