To adjust the temperature, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator. Use the up and down arrow buttons to set your desired temperature for both the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure that the vents inside the refrigerator are not blocked. If the issue persists, consult the user manual for troubleshooting steps or contact LG customer service.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils at least twice a year to ensure efficient operation. Use a vacuum cleaner or a coil brush to remove dust and debris.
To change the water filter, locate the filter compartment inside the refrigerator. Turn the old filter counterclockwise to remove it, then insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to remove air from the system.
Water pooling can be caused by a clogged defrost drain. To fix this, unclog the drain using warm water or a pipe cleaner. Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked.
The door alarm can be activated by pressing the "Alarm" button on the control panel. This will alert you if the refrigerator door is left open for an extended period.
Ensure that the ice maker is turned on and the water supply is connected. Check for any ice blockages in the maker itself. If the problem continues, reset the ice maker by turning it off and then on again.
To maintain energy efficiency, keep the refrigerator away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the door seals are tight and not damaged. Keep the refrigerator well-stocked but not overcrowded to allow proper air circulation.
To replace the light bulb, unplug the refrigerator and remove the cover of the light compartment. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Regular maintenance tasks include cleaning the interior and exterior, checking and replacing the water filter, cleaning the condenser coils, and ensuring the door seals are clean and intact.
