To start a drying cycle, load your clothes into the drum, close the door, select the desired drying cycle by turning the cycle selector knob, adjust any additional settings as needed, and press the Start/Pause button to begin the cycle.
If your dryer is not heating, check to ensure the gas supply is turned on (for gas models), inspect the lint filter and exhaust vent for blockages, and verify that the dryer is plugged in properly. If the issue persists, it may require service from a qualified technician.
To clean the lint filter, open the dryer door, remove the lint filter from the bottom of the drum opening, and clean any lint accumulated on the filter. Rinse it with water if needed, dry it thoroughly, and replace it before using the dryer again.
Unusual noises can be due to overloading the dryer, objects caught in the drum seal, or loose items. Ensure that the dryer is not overloaded and check for any foreign objects inside the drum. If noises persist, further inspection by a technician may be required.
To use the Wrinkle Care feature, select a drying cycle and then press the Wrinkle Care button. This feature will tumble the clothes periodically after the cycle ends to prevent wrinkles from setting in.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the lint filter after each use, checking and cleaning the exhaust vent periodically, and ensuring the dryer is level and stable. Additionally, perform full inspections for any gas leaks or electrical issues annually.
First, ensure the dryer is plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Check that the dryer door is completely closed and the Start/Pause button has been pressed. If the problem persists, inspect the control panel for error codes and refer to the manual for further instructions.
While it is possible to dry some shoes in the dryer, it is important to check the shoe manufacturer's instructions first. If allowed, use a low heat setting and consider placing a towel or drying rack in the drum to prevent the shoes from tumbling excessively.
To reset the dryer, unplug it from the electrical outlet and leave it unplugged for about 10 minutes. After this time, plug the dryer back in and try to operate it again. This can often resolve minor software glitches.
Consult the user manual to identify the meaning of the error code. Most codes indicate specific issues such as connectivity problems or component failures. Follow the suggested troubleshooting steps or contact LG customer support for assistance.
