To clean the lint filter, open the dryer door and pull out the lint filter located at the bottom of the door opening. Remove any lint trapped in the filter by hand or using a vacuum cleaner. Replace the filter securely before using the dryer again.
If the dryer is not heating, check if the gas supply is turned on and the dryer is plugged in. Ensure the lint filter and exhaust ducts are clean. If the problem persists, it may require a service call to check the heating element or thermostat.
A squeaking noise could be due to worn drum rollers, a loose blower wheel, or the drive belt needing replacement. It is recommended to inspect these components and replace any worn parts.
To prevent wrinkles, promptly remove clothes from the dryer when the cycle is finished. Use the Wrinkle Care option, which periodically tumbles clothes after the cycle ends. Also, avoid overloading the dryer to allow clothes to tumble freely.
Use the Delicate cycle, which uses low heat to gently dry delicate fabrics. You can also use a mesh drying rack placed inside the dryer if your model supports it, to prevent tumbling.
Check if the dryer is overheating, which might trigger the thermal fuse. Ensure the lint filter and exhaust vent are clean. Verify that the door is fully closed and the power supply is stable.
It is recommended to clean the exhaust vent every three months to prevent lint buildup, which can affect dryer performance and pose a fire hazard.
Regularly clean the lint filter before every load, inspect and clean the exhaust vent every three months, and check for any unusual noises. Schedule an annual maintenance check to ensure all parts are in good condition.
To change the light bulb, unplug the dryer and open the door. Locate the light bulb cover inside the drum, unscrew it, and replace the bulb with a new one of the same type. Reattach the cover securely.
Check if the lint filter and exhaust vent are clean to ensure proper airflow. Verify that the load size is appropriate and not too large. If the issue persists, the dryer may need servicing to check the thermostat or heating element.
