Ensure the dryer is placed on a level surface. Connect the power cord to a grounded outlet. Attach the exhaust duct securely to the dryer and ensure it is free of any obstructions. Follow the installation instructions provided in the user manual for detailed guidance.
Check if the dryer is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the lint filter is clean and the exhaust vent is not blocked. Inspect the thermal fuse and heating element for continuity. If the problem persists, contact LG customer support for assistance.
To clean the lint filter, open the dryer door and pull the filter out of its compartment. Remove any lint by hand or with a soft brush. Rinse the filter under warm water if necessary and dry it completely before reinserting it into the dryer.
Regularly clean the lint filter after each load. Inspect and clean the exhaust duct periodically to prevent lint buildup. Check for any foreign objects in the drum. Wipe the exterior and control panel with a damp cloth.
Unusual noises may be due to items like coins or buttons in the drum. Check for any loose objects. Ensure the dryer is level to prevent vibrations. If noises persist, inspect the drum rollers and blower wheel for wear or damage.
Check if the drum belt is broken or slipping. Inspect the motor and idler pulley for functionality. Verify the door switch is working correctly. If necessary, refer to the service manual or contact a technician for further inspection.
Use the Wrinkle Care option to periodically tumble clothes after the cycle ends. Remove clothes promptly from the dryer once the cycle is complete. Shake out garments and fold or hang them immediately to minimize wrinkles.
Disconnect the dryer from the power source. Detach the vent hose and remove any lint or debris. Use a vacuum or brush to clean the vent duct thoroughly. Reattach the hose securely before reconnecting the dryer to the power source.
Ensure the lint filter is clean and the exhaust vent is not blocked. Overloading the dryer can also affect drying times. Check for proper air circulation around the dryer. If problems persist, inspect the moisture sensor for accuracy.
To reset the dryer, unplug it from the power outlet and wait approximately 5 minutes. Plug it back in and restart the dryer. This can help resolve minor electronic glitches.
