To reset the Kenwood KID60S20 Dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Reset button for about 3 seconds until the display clears. Then, select the desired washing cycle and start the dishwasher again.
If the dishwasher is not draining, check for clogs in the drain hose or filter. Clean out any debris, and ensure that the hose is not kinked. Also, make sure the air gap is clear if your system has one.
Ensure that the door is fully closed and latched. Check if the power supply is connected, and make sure the delay start option is not activated. If the problem persists, inspect the control panel for any error codes.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom dish rack, twist the filter counterclockwise, and lift it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris and reinstall it by aligning and twisting it clockwise to lock it in place.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as it helps with drying. Also, check that the selected cycle includes a drying phase and avoid overcrowding the dishwasher to allow proper air circulation.
Unusual noises can be caused by items touching the spray arms or improper loading. Make sure dishes are securely placed, and check that spray arms are free from obstructions. Inspect the pump and motor for any signs of wear.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, inspecting and cleaning spray arms, checking for clogs in the drain, wiping down the door seal, and running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner monthly.
Load large items such as pots and pans on the bottom rack, while placing cups and glasses on the top rack. Ensure all items are angled correctly to allow water flow, and avoid blocking the detergent dispenser and spray arms.
Refer to the user manual for specific error codes. Common codes include E1 for a water inlet problem and E4 for a water leakage issue. Identifying the code will help in troubleshooting the specific problem.
Use quality detergent and ensure the water temperature is at least 120°F. Regularly clean the filter and spray arms, and avoid overloading the dishwasher. Periodically run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner.
