To reset the Kenwood KID60S15 dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Reset button for about 3 seconds until the display clears or the machine beeps. This will cancel the current cycle and reset the appliance.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or clogged. Ensure the sink's drain is clear. Clean the dishwasher's filter and ensure the pump is not obstructed. If the issue persists, consider checking the drain pump for blockages.
Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Check that the dishwasher is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Confirm that the water supply is turned on. If the problem continues, inspect the door latch and control panel for faults.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack and locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. Twist to unlock, remove it, and rinse under running water to remove debris. Reinstall by aligning it properly and locking it back into place.
Ensure the spray arms are not clogged and can rotate freely. Check that you are using the correct amount of detergent and that it is not expired. Verify that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C) for optimal cleaning.
It is recommended to clean the dishwasher's filter and spray arms monthly. Perform a deep clean of the interior every three months using a dishwasher cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and baking soda.
For heavily soiled pots and pans, use the Intensive or Heavy cycle, which uses higher temperatures and extended wash time to tackle tough grease and food residues.
To adjust the rinse aid setting, open the dishwasher door and locate the rinse aid dispenser. Turn the setting dial inside the dispenser to increase or decrease the amount of rinse aid used per cycle.
Unusual noises may be caused by items in the dishwasher hitting spray arms, loose or improperly loaded dishes, or a clogged filter. Check for these common issues and ensure the dishwasher is on a level surface.
To improve drying performance, ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled and adjust its setting if necessary. Use a higher temperature wash cycle and consider opening the door slightly after the cycle ends to allow moisture to escape.
