To reset your Kenwood KID60B12 Dishwasher, press and hold the Start button for about 3 seconds until the lights on the control panel flash. This will reset the dishwasher's settings.
Ensure that the spray arms are not clogged and can rotate freely. Check the filter for debris and clean it. Make sure you are using the recommended detergent and that the water temperature is at least 120°F (50°C).
Remove the lower dish rack to access the filter. Twist the filter assembly counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse the filter under running water and use a soft brush to remove stubborn particles. Reassemble the filter by placing it back and twisting clockwise until secure.
Unusual noises may be caused by items in the dishwasher obstructing the spray arms or by loose items. Ensure that all dishes are properly secured and that nothing is blocking the spray arms. Check for any loose screws or parts in the dishwasher.
Check the door seal for any damage or debris that might prevent a proper seal. Ensure that the dishwasher is level. Also, inspect the hoses and connections for any signs of leaks or damage.
If your dishwasher is not draining, check the drain hose for kinks or clogs. Clean the filter and check for blockage in the drain pump. Make sure the kitchen sink drain is clear.
It is recommended to clean the interior of your dishwasher once a month. Use a dishwasher cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and baking soda to remove build-up and odors. Run an empty cycle with the cleaning solution.
A bad odor can result from food particles trapped in the filter or spray arms. Clean these components regularly. Running a cycle with vinegar or a dishwasher cleaner can also help eliminate odors.
Ensure the dishwasher is properly plugged in and the door is securely closed. Check the circuit breaker to ensure power is being supplied. Make sure the Start button is pressed and held for a few seconds to initiate the cycle.
Ensure that you are using a rinse aid, which helps water to sheet off dishes and improves drying. Select a higher drying setting if available and ensure that the dishes are loaded properly to allow water to drain.
