To reset the Kenwood KDW60X16 dishwasher, press and hold the Start/Pause button for about 3 seconds. This will cancel the current cycle and reset the machine.
If your dishwasher is not draining properly, check for clogs in the filter, drain hose, or garbage disposal connection. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked and clean the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack and locate the cylindrical filter at the base. Twist it counterclockwise to remove, rinse it under warm water, and use a soft brush to remove debris before reinstalling.
If your dishwasher is not starting, ensure the door is properly closed and latched. Check that the power cord is plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Also, verify that the water supply is turned on.
Unusual noises may be due to items in the dishwasher interfering with the spray arms. Check that dishes are loaded correctly and not obstructing the spray arms. Also, inspect for any loose or foreign objects in the dishwasher.
To adjust the rinse aid level, open the dispenser cover located inside the door. Turn the arrow adjuster to the desired setting, ranging from 1 (minimum) to 6 (maximum), depending on your water hardness.
Place larger items like pots and pans in the bottom rack facing downward. Use the top rack for smaller items like glasses, cups, and small plates. Ensure that items do not block the spray arms from rotating.
It is recommended to clean your dishwasher’s filter and spray arms monthly. Additionally, run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or vinegar every 3 to 6 months to remove limescale and grime.
Leaks can be caused by a damaged door seal, overloading the dishwasher, or using the wrong type of detergent. Inspect the door seal for damage and ensure the dishwasher is level. Use only detergents designed for automatic dishwashers.
If dishes are not coming out clean, check that the spray arms can rotate freely and are not clogged. Ensure you are using the correct amount of detergent, and verify that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C).
