Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack and ensure they do not block the spray arms. Cups, glasses, and small dishes should be placed on the top rack, angled for better water drainage. Ensure no items obstruct the detergent dispenser.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or clogged. Clean the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher and ensure the garbage disposal (if connected) is clear. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack to access the filter at the base. Turn the filter counterclockwise to unlock and lift it out. Rinse under running water and use a soft brush to remove debris. Reinstall by placing it back and turning clockwise.
Residue may result from hard water, inadequate detergent, or overloading. Use a rinse aid and ensure the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C). Check the spray arms for blockages and clean them if necessary.
Ensure the dishwasher is plugged in and the door is fully closed. Check the circuit breaker and reset if necessary. Verify that the water supply valve is open and the control panel settings are correct.
Locate the rinse aid dispenser cap inside the dishwasher door. Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it. Use the adjustment dial inside to set the desired rinse aid level, then replace the cap securely.
Unusual noises may be caused by items touching the spray arms or loose components. Pause the cycle, rearrange the dishes, and ensure all parts are secured. If noises persist, inspect the pump and motor for issues.
Clean the interior monthly by running an empty cycle with a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack. This helps remove grease and odors. Additionally, wipe down the door seals and edges to prevent mold and residue buildup.
Signs include poor cleaning performance, visible food particles in the spray arm holes, and uneven water distribution. Remove the spray arms and rinse under warm water, using a toothpick to clear any blockages.
Ensure the use of a rinse aid to enhance drying. Select a longer drying cycle if available, and open the dishwasher door slightly after the cycle ends to allow steam to escape. Check that the heating element is functioning properly.
