To reset the Kenwood KDW45X10 Dishwasher, press and hold the start button for about 3 seconds until the display shows a reset indication or all lights flash. Release the button to initiate the reset process.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Clean the filter and ensure the drain pump is not obstructed by debris. If the problem persists, inspect the drain pump for any faults or contact customer support.
To clean the filter, remove the lower dish rack and locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. Twist the filter counterclockwise to remove it, then rinse it under running water to remove debris. Reinstall the filter by twisting it clockwise until it locks in place.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent suitable for automatic dishwashers. You can use tablets, powder, or gel detergents as per your preference, but ensure you follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
Ensure the door is properly closed and latched. Check if the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If these are fine, inspect the door latch and switch for any signs of damage or malfunction.
Ensure you are using a rinse aid, as it helps water to sheet off dishes, improving drying. Also, avoid overloading the dishwasher to allow proper air circulation and select a higher heat drying option if available.
Regularly clean the filters, spray arms, and door seals to prevent buildup of food particles and ensure efficient operation. Also, run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or vinegar every few months to remove limescale and odors.
White residue is often caused by hard water. Use a dishwasher salt if your model has a water softener function, and increase the amount of rinse aid. Additionally, ensure you are using the correct amount of detergent.
To adjust the upper rack, carefully lift the rack's side levers and adjust the height as needed. Ensure the rack is level on both sides before sliding it back into the dishwasher. This allows for more space in the lower rack for larger items.
Ensure that no items are obstructing the spray arms and that dishes are properly loaded. Check for any loose items in the dishwasher tub. If noises persist, inspect the pump and motor for any signs of damage or wear.
