To clean the filter, remove the lower dish rack and locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. Twist the circular filter counterclockwise to remove it. Rinse it under running water to remove debris, then replace it by twisting it clockwise until it is secure.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or clogged. Clean the filter and ensure the garbage disposal cap is removed if your dishwasher drains into it. If the problem persists, inspect the air gap for blockages.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as it helps with drying. Use the heated dry option and avoid opening the dishwasher immediately after the cycle to allow steam to escape.
It's recommended to clean the spray arms every three to six months. Remove the arms and rinse them under water, using a toothpick to clear any blocked holes.
Use high-quality, automatic dishwasher detergents in either powder, gel, or tablet form. Avoid using hand dishwashing soap, as it can cause excessive suds.
To reset the dishwasher, turn off the power by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker for one minute. Then, restore power and select a new cycle.
Unusual noises can be caused by items in the dishwasher that are improperly loaded and rattling. Ensure that dishes do not block the spray arms and that the dishwasher is level.
Check the door gasket for any damage or debris and ensure it is seated correctly. Verify that the dishwasher is level and not overloaded. Examine the water inlet valve and hose connections for leaks.
Run an empty cycle with a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack. This helps remove hard water deposits and disinfect the interior of the dishwasher.
Ensure that the spray arms are not blocked and that the filter is clean. Check the water temperature; it should be at least 120°F for optimal cleaning. Avoid overcrowding the dishwasher to allow proper water circulation.
