To update the firmware, connect your machine to a computer using the USB cable, visit the Janome website to download the latest firmware update, and follow the included instructions to install it.
Ensure the needle is correctly inserted and not bent, check the thread tension, clean the bobbin area, and make sure you are using the correct presser foot for your fabric.
Regularly clean the bobbin area and needle plate with a small brush, oil the machine as per the user manual, and ensure the machine is covered when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.
Check for correct threading, ensure the needle is suitable for the thread type, adjust the thread tension, and inspect the thread for any knots or frays.
Turn off the machine, remove the fabric and thread, open the bobbin case, gently remove any tangled threads, and re-thread the machine before continuing.
Transfer designs using a compatible software program, save the design on a memory card or USB stick, and insert it into the machine’s card slot or USB port.
Use a quilting needle, specifically size 75/11 or 90/14, depending on the thickness of your quilt layers.
Use the machine's control panel to navigate to the stitch settings, then adjust the length and width using the provided buttons or dials.
Check the machine's power supply, ensure the screen is clean, and reset the machine. If the issue persists, consult a Janome technician.
Raise the presser foot lever, press the release button to remove the current foot, align and attach the new presser foot until it clicks into place.
