To thread the Janome 6125QC, raise the presser foot and turn off the machine. Place the spool on the spool pin, guide the thread through the upper thread guide, down the right channel, around the tension disk, up the left channel, and through the take-up lever. Finally, thread the needle from front to back.
Check if the needle is bent or dull and replace it if necessary. Ensure the needle is correctly inserted and use the appropriate needle type for the fabric. Also, re-thread the machine to ensure threading is correct.
Regularly clean the bobbin case and surrounding area using a small brush to remove lint and dust. Oil the machine as per the manual's instructions, focusing on the bobbin area and moving parts. Ensure the machine is off and unplugged during maintenance.
Loud noises may indicate the machine needs cleaning or oiling. Check for thread or lint buildup in the bobbin area. Ensure the needle is not damaged and is correctly installed.
To adjust the tension, use the tension dial located on the front of the machine. Increase the tension for tighter stitches and decrease for looser stitches. Test on a scrap piece of fabric to find the optimal setting.
Fabric puckering can be caused by incorrect tension settings, dull needles, or using unsuitable thread. Adjust the tension, replace the needle, and ensure the thread is compatible with the fabric.
Ensure the bobbin is correctly placed on the winder spindle and the thread is correctly threaded through the bobbin winding guide. Check if the bobbin winder spindle is properly engaged.
For quilting on the Janome 6125QC, use a 90/14 quilting needle for thicker fabrics or batting. Ensure the needle type matches the fabric and thread used for best results.
To change the presser foot, raise the presser foot and needle. Press the black lever at the back of the presser foot holder to release the current foot. Align the new foot with the holder and lower the presser foot lifter to snap it into place.
Ensure the feed dogs are raised and not in the darning position. Check that the presser foot is lowered. Inspect the feed dogs for lint or debris and clean if necessary.
