Overheating can be caused by prolonged use or high ambient temperatures. Ensure good ventilation, avoid direct sunlight, and consider using shorter recording sessions to manage heat.
For optimal performance, use a Class 10 or UHS-I microSD card with a minimum capacity of 16GB, but for longer recording times, 32GB or larger is recommended.
Download the GoPro App on your smartphone. Turn on the camera's Wi-Fi, and connect your phone to the GoPro's Wi-Fi network. Open the app and follow the instructions to pair the devices.
To extend battery life, reduce the screen brightness, turn off Wi-Fi when not in use, and use the camera in lower resolution and frame rate settings. Carrying spare batteries can also be helpful for long sessions.
Common modes include 1080p30 for general use, 720p60 for slow-motion playback, and 1440p48 for wide-angle shots. Choose based on activity and desired frame rate.
Prevent fogging by inserting anti-fog inserts into the housing, keeping the housing dry, and avoiding rapid changes in temperature.
The GoPro Hero 3 is waterproof with a housing up to 197 feet (60 meters). Ensure the housing is properly sealed before submersion.
