To install the Flir Elara DX-306 Camera, mount the camera securely using the provided brackets, connect the power supply, and configure the network settings using the camera's web interface.
The camera requires a stable network connection with a minimum bandwidth of 10 Mbps. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and can be configured for static IP or DHCP.
Check all cable connections, ensure the camera is powered on, verify network settings, and make sure the firewall isn't blocking the camera's IP address.
Regularly clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth, ensure the camera housing is free of dust and debris, and check firmware updates through the Flir support site.
Press and hold the reset button located on the camera for 10 seconds until the LED indicator flashes, and then release it to reset the camera.
Adjust the camera settings such as exposure, white balance, and focus through the web interface, and ensure proper lighting in the surveillance area.
Download the latest firmware from the Flir website, access the camera's web interface, navigate to the firmware update section, and upload the new firmware file.
Ensure the storage device is properly connected and has enough space, check recording schedule settings, and verify that motion detection is enabled if used.
Ensure the camera is installed in a well-ventilated area, check for any obstructions around the camera, and avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Change default passwords, enable HTTPS for secure communication, regularly update firmware, and configure network firewalls to restrict access.
