To improve gaming performance, ensure your graphics drivers are up to date, set the power plan to High Performance, and lower game settings for better FPS. Consider using Dell’s built-in performance optimization tools.
Ensure proper ventilation by keeping the laptop on a hard surface. Use compressed air to clean the vents and consider using a cooling pad. Check for any resource-intensive processes and close unnecessary applications.
To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, and select 'Get started' under 'Reset this PC'. Follow the instructions to reset your laptop.
Turn off the laptop and unplug all cables. Remove the back panel by unscrewing the screws. Locate the RAM slots and replace or add the RAM modules. Reassemble the laptop and power it on to check the upgrade.
Check if the Wi-Fi is turned on and airplane mode is off. Restart the router and laptop. Update the Wi-Fi drivers through Device Manager and ensure that no network settings are blocking connectivity.
Reduce screen brightness, close unnecessary applications, and disable Bluetooth and other non-essential features. Check for battery health in BIOS and consider recalibrating the battery.
Turn off the laptop and unplug it. Use compressed air to blow out debris between the keys. Lightly dampen a cloth with isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the keys. Avoid liquid cleaners directly on the keyboard.
Update the graphics drivers and ensure the display settings are correct. Check for any recent software updates or installations causing the issue. If the problem persists, consult Dell support for hardware diagnostics.
Use an external hard drive or cloud services for backup. You can also use Windows Backup features by going to Control Panel > System and Security > Backup and Restore to set up automatic backups.
Regularly update the operating system and drivers, clean the vents and keyboard, perform disk cleanup, and defragmentation if using an HDD. Run antivirus software to keep the system secure.
