BT Box Mini User Guide

To connect your BT TV Box Mini to the internet, use an Ethernet cable to connect the box directly to your router. Alternatively, connect via Wi-Fi by navigating to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and selecting your network. Enter the network password to complete the connection.
Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the BT TV Box Mini and a working power outlet. Press the power button on the remote and check if the LED light on the box is illuminated. If it still doesn't turn on, try using a different power outlet or replace the power cable.
To reset your BT TV Box Mini, go to Settings > Device Preferences > Reset. Confirm your choice to reset the device, which will erase all settings and data, restoring the box to its original factory state.
First, replace the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV box. If the issue persists, try pairing the remote again by pressing and holding the 'Home' and 'Back' buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
To update the software, go to Settings > Device Preferences > About > System Update. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it. Ensure your device is connected to the internet during the update process.
The BT TV Box Mini does not have recording capabilities. To record shows, you need a BT TV Recordable Box, which allows you to pause, rewind, and record live TV.
Place the BT TV Box Mini closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength. Avoid obstructions such as walls and electronic devices that may interfere with the signal. You might also consider using a Wi-Fi extender to boost the signal.
Check your internet connection speed to ensure it meets the minimum requirement for streaming. Restart your router and BT TV Box Mini. If the problem persists, reduce the number of devices connected to your network and try lowering the video quality in the streaming app settings.
To pair a Bluetooth device, go to Settings > Remote & Accessories > Add Accessory. Ensure your Bluetooth device is in pairing mode, then select it from the list of available devices on your screen to pair.
Navigate to Settings > Parental Controls. You can set a PIN to restrict access to certain content or channels. Customize the settings according to age ratings and content types to suit your family’s needs.
