To set up your BT Diverse 7410 Plus phone, plug the base unit into a power outlet and connect it to your phone line. Charge the handset by placing it on the base station for at least 16 hours before first use. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure date and time settings.
To register an additional handset, press and hold the 'Page' button on the base until it beeps. Then, on the handset, go to Menu > Setup > Register Handset and follow the on-screen instructions. Enter the base's PIN when prompted (default is 0000).
Ensure that the ringer volume is not set to 'Off'. You can adjust the ringer volume by pressing the volume button on the side of the handset. Also, check if 'Do Not Disturb' mode is activated and disable it if necessary.
To check voicemail, press and hold the '1' key on the handset until it dials your voicemail service. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your messages. Ensure you have subscribed to voicemail services with your provider.
During a call, press the 'Int' (Internal) button, then select the handset number you wish to transfer the call to and press 'OK'. Wait for the other handset to answer or hang up to complete the transfer.
If 'Base' is displayed, it indicates a loss of connection with the base unit. Ensure the base is plugged in and within range. Try re-registering the handset to the base or reset the base unit if necessary.
To change the batteries, remove the battery cover on the back of the handset. Replace the old batteries with new rechargeable AAA batteries, ensuring they are inserted with the correct polarity. Replace the cover and charge the handset.
The BT Diverse 7410 Plus does not have a built-in call blocking feature. However, you can contact your service provider to manage call blocking services or use external devices to block unwanted calls.
To reset to factory settings, go to Menu > Setup > Reset Settings on the handset. Confirm the reset when prompted. This will restore all settings to default, so any personal settings will be erased.
To improve range and signal quality, ensure the base unit is placed centrally and away from thick walls or electronic devices that may cause interference. Consider using a range extender if needed.
