To connect your Yamaha RX-V371 to a TV, use an HDMI cable. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the receiver and the other end to an HDMI IN port on your TV. Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input.
First, place your speakers in the desired locations. Connect the speakers to the corresponding speaker terminals on the receiver, ensuring the positive and negative terminals match. Use the YPAO microphone included with the receiver to calibrate speaker settings automatically.
To perform a factory reset, turn off the receiver. Then, press and hold the STRAIGHT button while turning the receiver back on. Continue holding the button until 'Advanced SETUP' appears on the display. Use the PROGRAM knob to select 'INIT', then press the STRAIGHT button again to reset the settings.
Check that the receiver is turned on and set to the correct input source. Verify speaker connections and ensure the speaker wires are securely connected. Also, check that the speakers are set to 'ON' in the Speaker Setup menu.
The Yamaha RX-V371 does not support firmware updates via USB or network. Please refer to Yamaha's customer support for assistance with updates or to see if any updates are available.
The Yamaha RX-V371 does not have built-in Bluetooth. However, you can use a Bluetooth adapter that connects to the receiver's audio input to stream music wirelessly from your devices.
To enhance the bass output, ensure your subwoofer is properly connected and powered on. Access the receiver's menu and adjust the Bass settings under 'Tone Control'. Additionally, make sure the subwoofer is enabled in the Speaker Setup menu.
Check that the HDMI cables are securely connected and not damaged. Try using a different HDMI cable or input port on the TV. Ensure the receiver is set to the correct input source and the TV is set to the appropriate HDMI input.
Use the remote control to press the 'SUR. DECODE' button to cycle through available audio modes. You can also access the Audio Setup menu to choose specific audio processing options.
Ensure the receiver has adequate ventilation and is not placed in a confined space. Check for dust buildup on the vents and clean if necessary. If the problem persists, reduce the volume level or consider using an external cooling fan.
