To fill the iron with water, ensure it is unplugged and set the steam dial to 'off'. Open the water fill cover and use the provided cup to pour water into the reservoir, taking care not to exceed the max fill line.
First, check the water level in the tank and refill if necessary. Ensure the steam dial is set to the desired setting and the iron has reached the appropriate temperature. If steam is still not produced, clean the steam vents with a mixture of water and vinegar.
To clean the soleplate, unplug the iron and let it cool completely. Use a damp cloth with a mild detergent to gently wipe the soleplate. Avoid using abrasive materials that can scratch the surface.
After using the iron, unplug it and let it cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the reservoir, set the steam dial to 'off', and wrap the cord loosely around the cord wrap area. Store the iron in an upright position.
To use the self-cleaning function, fill the water reservoir halfway and heat the iron to its highest temperature. Unplug the iron, hold it over a sink, and press the self-clean button. Shake the iron gently to release steam and impurities.
A blinking power indicator light typically indicates that the iron is heating up to the selected temperature. If the blinking continues without the iron heating, check the power connection and consult the user manual for further troubleshooting.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup in the iron. If using tap water, ensure it is free of impurities and minerals to prolong the iron's lifespan.
To adjust the temperature, turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric you are ironing. Wait for the indicator light to stop blinking, indicating the iron has reached the selected temperature.
Ensure that the iron is not overfilled and the steam dial is set correctly. If the iron is still leaking, check for cracks in the water reservoir and inspect the soleplate for mineral deposits that might affect sealing.
Descaling frequency depends on the water hardness in your area. As a general rule, descale the iron every 1-2 months if you use tap water, or every 3-4 months if using distilled water.
