Subaru Robin R1210 Parts Manual

To start the generator, ensure it is on a level surface, check the fuel and oil levels, turn the fuel valve to 'ON', set the choke lever to 'CLOSED' if the engine is cold, turn the engine switch to 'ON', and then pull the starter rope briskly. Once the engine starts, move the choke lever to 'OPEN'.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the oil every 50 hours of operation, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, inspecting the spark plug every 100 hours, and checking the fuel system for leaks or damage regularly.
If the generator won't start, check for sufficient fuel and oil levels, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, verify that the fuel valve and choke are in the correct positions, and inspect the air filter for clogs.
It is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 oil for the generator, especially for temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). Always check the owner's manual for specific oil recommendations.
To store the generator, run it until it uses up all the fuel, change the oil, clean the exterior, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Disconnect the battery if equipped.
If the generator is running rough, check the air filter for dirt, ensure the fuel is fresh, inspect the spark plug, and check for any blockages in the fuel line. Adjust the carburetor if necessary.
Use fresh, clean unleaded gasoline and add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation. Avoid storing fuel in the generator for extended periods and drain the carburetor before long-term storage.
To change the oil, run the generator for a few minutes to warm it up, turn it off, and place it on a level surface. Remove the oil drain plug, allow the oil to drain completely, replace the plug, and refill with new oil.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover and the filter element, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely. If the filter is damaged or excessively dirty, replace it with a new one.
Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, keep it dry, and away from flammable materials. Never overload the generator, and use appropriate cords and connections. Always read the owner's manual before use.
