Subaru RGX7100 Parts Manual

To start the Subaru RGX7100 generator, first ensure that the fuel valve is open and the choke is in the correct position. Then, turn the engine switch to the "ON" position and pull the recoil starter handle gently until you feel resistance, then pull it sharply.
For the Subaru RGX7100 generator, use SAE 10W-30 oil for general use. Always check the oil level before starting the generator and maintain it within the recommended limits.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 100 hours of operation or at least once a year. This includes changing the oil, cleaning the air filter, and inspecting the spark plug.
If the generator won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, verify that the engine switch is on, and inspect the air filter for blockages.
To prevent overloading, do not exceed the generator’s rated wattage. Prioritize essential appliances and consider staggering the use of high-demand devices.
For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and carburetor, change the oil, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the recoil starter to distribute the oil. Keep the generator in a dry and clean place.
To change the oil, run the engine briefly to warm up the oil, then turn off the engine. Remove the oil filler cap and drain plug, allow the oil to drain completely, and then replace the plug and add new oil.
Use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
To clean the air filter, remove the filter cover and take out the filter element. Wash it with mild detergent and warm water, then allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
If the generator runs roughly, check for dirty or clogged air filters, inspect the spark plug for wear or deposits, and ensure the fuel is clean and fresh.
