The recommended fuel mix ratio for Stihl TS 700 and TS 800 is 50:1. This means 50 parts gasoline to 1 part Stihl 2-Stroke engine oil.
To troubleshoot starting issues, ensure the choke is in the correct position, the fuel tank is filled with fresh fuel, the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, and the air filter is clean.
Regular maintenance for the TS 800 includes cleaning or replacing the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug, inspecting the fuel system, and ensuring the cutting wheel is in good condition.
To replace the cutting wheel, ensure the machine is turned off and cooled down. Use the appropriate wrench to loosen the wheel nut, remove the old wheel, and install the new wheel ensuring it is properly aligned and tightened.
If your TS 800 is running rough, check the air filter for dirt, ensure the fuel is fresh, inspect the spark plug, and check for any fuel line obstructions.
The spark plug on a TS 700 should be checked and replaced every 100 operating hours or sooner if there are performance issues.
For cutting concrete, use a diamond cutting wheel. For metal, a resin-bonded abrasive wheel is recommended. Always check the manufacturer's specifications for compatibility.
To improve performance, ensure regular maintenance is performed, use high-quality fuel and oil, and make sure the cutting wheel is correct for the material being cut.
Ensure you wear appropriate PPE, such as gloves, eye and ear protection, and a dust mask. Always operate the saw in a stable position and be aware of your surroundings.
To clean the air filter, remove the filter cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove loose dirt. If necessary, wash it with a mild detergent and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
