To start the Stihl BT 45, ensure the choke is closed, set the throttle to the start position, and pull the starter cord firmly. Once the engine turns over, open the choke.
The Stihl BT 45 requires a 50:1 fuel mix of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-cycle engine oil.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is in good condition, inspect the air filter for clogs, and ensure the engine switch is set to the "on" position.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned after every 10 hours of use and replaced if it shows signs of damage or excessive dirt.
Empty the fuel tank, clean the machine thoroughly, and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
Turn off the engine, use the appropriate wrench to loosen the chuck, remove the old bit, insert the new bit, and securely tighten the chuck.
Check for loose parts and ensure the drill bit is properly installed. Inspect the auger blades for damage or wear and replace them if necessary.
Regularly inspect and clean the air filter, check the spark plug condition, ensure all screws are tightened, and use fresh fuel mixes.
Wear protective gear such as gloves, goggles, and ear protection. Ensure the area is clear of obstructions and maintain a firm grip on the tool during operation.
Inspect the fuel and oil levels, check the condition of the drill bit, ensure the throttle and stop switch work properly, and verify the air filter is clean.
