Stihl TS 460 Cutquik Instruction Manual

The Stihl TS 460 requires a 50:1 fuel mixture, which means using 2.6 ounces of two-stroke engine oil per gallon of gasoline.
To replace the cutting wheel, first ensure the machine is turned off and disconnect the spark plug. Loosen the central bolt holding the wheel, remove the old wheel, and install the new one, ensuring it's securely fastened.
Check for fuel issues, ensure the spark plug is clean and functional, inspect the air filter for clogs, and make sure the stop switch is in the correct position.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 10 hours of use or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace it if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
For concrete cutting, use a diamond cutting wheel designed for concrete and masonry. Ensure the wheel is compatible with the TS 460.
Regular maintenance such as cleaning, proper fuel mixture, timely replacement of worn parts, and storing the machine in a dry place can prolong its life.
Excessive vibration can be due to an unbalanced cutting wheel, loose mounting components, or worn vibration dampeners. Check these parts for proper installation and wear.
To adjust the belt tension, first loosen the bolts securing the belt guard. Use the tensioning screw to adjust the belt tension to the correct tightness, then retighten the bolts.
Always wear protective gear such as goggles, gloves, and ear protection. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders and obstacles, and follow all operational instructions in the manual.
Overheating can be caused by clogged air filters, improper fuel mixture, or blocked cooling fins. Clean or replace the air filter, ensure the correct fuel mixture, and clean any debris from the cooling fins.
