The correct fuel mixture for the Stihl TS 410 and TS 420 is a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to 2-stroke engine oil.
To replace the cutting wheel, ensure the machine is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use the supplied wrench to loosen the bolt holding the cutting wheel, remove the old wheel, and install the new one, ensuring it is securely fastened before reconnecting the spark plug.
Check if there is fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is clean and functioning, verify the air filter is not clogged, and make sure the choke is in the correct position for starting.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 10 hours of use. If operating in a dusty environment, it may require more frequent cleaning.
Regularly inspect the water attachment for leaks, ensure the water flow is unobstructed, and clean any mineral deposits from the nozzles to maintain optimal performance.
Ensure the air intake vents are clean and unobstructed, check the cooling fins for debris, and verify that the engine is not being overworked. Additionally, use the proper fuel mixture to prevent engine overheating.
Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops, clean the unit thoroughly, remove and clean the air filter, and store the machine in a dry, dust-free environment.
To adjust the belt tension, loosen the bolts on the belt guard, turn the tensioning screw to adjust the belt tension, and then retighten the bolts securely. Ensure the belt has the proper tension to avoid slipping or excessive wear.
Excessive vibration can be due to an unbalanced cutting wheel, loose components, or worn bearings. Check for damage or wear on the wheel, tighten any loose parts, and replace worn bearings if necessary.
Perform regular maintenance, use the correct fuel mixture, clean the machine after use, replace worn parts promptly, and follow all operating guidelines to extend the lifespan of your equipment.
