To start the Stihl TS 350, ensure the fuel tank is filled with a correct fuel mix, set the choke lever to the closed position, pull the starter cord until you feel resistance, and then pull it swiftly. Once the engine starts, open the choke gradually.
The recommended fuel mix for the Stihl TS 350 is a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to Stihl two-stroke engine oil. Ensure the gasoline is at least 89 octane.
Check the fuel level and quality, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the choke and throttle settings are correct.
It is recommended to check the air filter after every 10 hours of operation and clean or replace it as needed to ensure optimal performance.
Common maintenance tasks include checking the spark plug, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the fuel filter, and checking the condition of the cutting wheel and guard.
To replace the cutting wheel, disconnect the spark plug boot, use a wrench to loosen the wheel nut, remove the old wheel, place the new wheel on the spindle, and tighten the wheel nut securely.
Overheating can be caused by a clogged air filter, incorrect fuel mix, or insufficient lubrication. Check these components and ensure proper ventilation during operation.
If the engine is running rough, inspect the spark plug for fouling, check the air and fuel filters for blockages, and ensure the carburetor is properly adjusted.
To store the Stihl TS 350, clean the machine thoroughly, empty the fuel tank, remove and clean the cutting wheel, and store it in a dry, secure place away from moisture.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws, start the engine, and adjust the low-speed and high-speed screws gradually to achieve a smooth idle and maximum engine performance.
