Stihl SR 320 SR 400 Instruction Manual

Use a 50:1 fuel-to-oil ratio. Mix 2.6 ounces of 2-cycle engine oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline. Ensure the mixture is well-blended before use.
Check the fuel level and quality, inspect the spark plug for fouling, ensure the air filter is clean, and confirm the choke is in the correct position.
Clean the air filter after every 10 hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace if it's damaged or doesn't clean properly.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the machine thoroughly and store it in a dry place. Consider removing the spark plug and adding a few drops of oil to the cylinder.
Use a small screwdriver to adjust the L (low speed), H (high speed), and LA (idle speed) screws. Refer to the user manual for specific settings and ensure adjustments are made slowly.
Regularly inspect the nozzle for blockages or wear. Clean it with water and a soft brush, and replace it if any damage is noted.
Remove the spark plug boot and use a spark plug wrench to unscrew the plug. Inspect for damage or deposits. Replace if necessary, ensuring the gap is set to 0.02 inches (0.5 mm).
Ensure that all nuts and bolts are tightened securely. Check that the impeller is not damaged or imbalanced. Inspect the entire machine for loose or damaged parts.
Adjust the metering knob to the desired flow rate. Use the calibration chart provided in the manual to ensure the correct setting for your specific application.
Always wear protective gear including goggles, gloves, and hearing protection. Do not operate near open flames or in confined spaces. Ensure the area is clear of bystanders.
