To start the Stihl SR 200, ensure the device is on a flat surface. Set the choke to the closed position, press the fuel pump bulb several times until fuel is visible, and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Once it starts, move the choke to the open position.
The Stihl SR 200 requires a 50:1 fuel mixture ratio of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil. Ensure the gasoline has a minimum octane rating of 89.
Clean the air filter after every 10 hours of operation. Remove the filter cover, take out the filter, and wash it in warm soapy water. Dry it completely before reinstalling.
Check the fuel level, spark plug, and air filter. Ensure the fuel is fresh and the spark plug is clean. Replace or clean the air filter if it is dirty. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the equipment and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
The Stihl SR 200 should not be used in wet conditions as moisture can damage the engine and electrical components. Always ensure the device is dry before use.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, checking fuel lines for leaks, and inspecting the equipment for any loose screws or damage.
Adjusting the carburetor should be done by a professional. However, if necessary, locate the adjustment screws and turn them slightly while the engine is running to achieve optimal performance. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
Remove the nozzle and soak it in warm soapy water. Use a soft brush to remove any residue, then rinse and dry thoroughly before reattaching it to the sprayer.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug lead, remove the old plug using a spark plug wrench, and install the new plug by hand to avoid cross-threading. Tighten it with the wrench and reconnect the spark plug lead.
