The recommended fuel mixture for the Stihl NG 7 is a 50:1 ratio of gasoline to 2-cycle engine oil.
To clean the air filter, remove the filter cover, take out the air filter, and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry before reinstalling.
Ensure the choke is engaged, press the primer bulb a few times, pull the starter rope firmly, and gradually release the choke as the engine warms up.
The engine may stall due to a clogged air filter, incorrect fuel mixture, or a dirty carburetor. Cleaning these components can resolve the issue.
It is recommended to replace the spark plug after every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first.
Drain the fuel tank, clean the machine thoroughly, inspect for any damage, and store the unit in a dry, sheltered location.
Check the fuel level, inspect the spark plug for wear, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that there is no blockage in the fuel line.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws and turn them slowly while the engine is running until the optimal idle speed and performance are achieved.
Remove the trimmer head cover, unwind the old line, and wind the new line tightly onto the spool. Reassemble the trimmer head.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced cutting attachment, loose parts, or worn engine mounts. Check and tighten all components and replace any worn parts.
