Check if there is fresh fuel in the tank, inspect the spark plug for fouling, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the ignition switch is in the 'ON' position.
The air filter should be checked before each use and cleaned after approximately 10 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions.
Use a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to Stihl 2-stroke engine oil. Mix thoroughly in a suitable container before filling the fuel tank.
Regularly inspect the cutting attachment for wear and damage. Sharpen or replace dull blades, and ensure the attachment is securely fastened before use.
Check the drive shaft for obstructions, inspect the clutch for wear, and ensure the attachment is properly connected and tightened.
Drain the fuel tank, run the engine to burn any remaining fuel, clean the tool thoroughly, and store it in a dry, secure location.
Perform regular maintenance every 10 hours of operation, including cleaning the air filter, checking the spark plug, and inspecting all components for wear or damage.
Ensure all screws and nuts are tight, check the cutting attachment for balance, and inspect the drive shaft and clutch for damage.
Wear protective gear including gloves, goggles, and earmuffs, ensure the work area is clear of obstacles, and maintain a secure footing while operating the tool.
