Stihl KM 110 R Instruction Manual

To start the Stihl KM 110 R, ensure the switch is in the "on" position, press the fuel pump bulb several times, set the choke, and pull the starter grip until the engine fires. Then, adjust the choke and allow the engine to warm up.
Use a high-quality 2-cycle engine oil mixed with gasoline at a ratio of 50:1. Ensure the gasoline has an octane rating of at least 89.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 10 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace if damaged or excessively dirty.
If the engine won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, verify the air filter is not clogged, and ensure the choke is set correctly.
To change the spark plug, remove the spark plug boot, use a spark plug wrench to unscrew the old plug, install the new plug, and reattach the boot. Ensure the new plug is gapped correctly to the specifications in the manual.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the fuel filter, checking the spark plug, lubricating the gearbox, and inspecting the drive shaft and coupling.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws on the carburetor body. Adjust the screws incrementally to achieve smooth idling and optimal performance, following the guidelines in the manual.
Excessive vibration can be caused by loose parts, unbalanced attachments, or worn engine mounts. Inspect and tighten all connections, check attachments for balance, and replace any worn components.
For off-season storage, clean the unit thoroughly, drain the fuel tank, run the engine until it stops, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, and store in a dry place.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the spool from the head, wind new line onto the spool according to the directional arrows, and reassemble the head. Ensure the line is evenly wound to prevent tangling.
