To start the Stihl HSA 65, ensure the battery is fully charged and inserted into the tool. Press the trigger lockout button with your thumb, then squeeze the trigger switch to start the motor.
Regularly clean and lubricate the blades using a resin solvent or a recommended lubricant. Check for any damage or dullness and sharpen the blades as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Ensure the battery is charged and properly connected. Check for any debris blocking the blades, and ensure the trigger lockout and trigger switch are functioning properly. Also, inspect for any visible damage to the unit.
Use the Stihl AL 100, AL 101, AL 300, or AL 500 charger. Insert the battery into the charger and plug it into a power outlet. Wait until the LED indicators show the battery is fully charged before use.
Sharpen the blades whenever you notice a decrease in cutting performance or visible dullness. Typically, this may be required every 25–50 hours of use, depending on the type of vegetation and frequency of use.
The Stihl HSA 65 is not designed for use in wet conditions. Operating the tool in wet conditions can pose safety risks and damage the electrical components. Always use it in dry conditions.
Check for any debris or obstructions in the blades and clean them thoroughly. If they are dull, sharpen them using a proper sharpening tool or consult a professional for blade maintenance.
Clean the hedge trimmer thoroughly, remove the battery, and store both the tool and the battery in a cool, dry place. Ensure the blades are covered or protected to prevent accidents or damage.
The runtime of the Stihl HSA 65 depends on the battery model used. With the AP 100 battery, it runs for up to 60 minutes, and with the AP 300 battery, it can run for up to 180 minutes under optimal conditions.
After use, remove the battery and clean the blades with a brush to remove any debris. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth and ensure no moisture enters the motor housing. Lubricate the blades to prevent rust.
