To install the cutting attachment, ensure the tool is switched off and remove the battery. Align the hole in the cutting attachment with the shaft and secure it using the locking nut provided. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
To maintain battery life, avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures, regularly charge it even if not in use, and use only the charger recommended by Stihl. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
If the tool is not starting, check if the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Ensure the switch is in the correct position, and inspect for any visible damage or obstructions in the motor or cutting attachment.
Clean the air filter after every 10 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Remove the filter and wash it with warm soapy water, then allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Use only Stihl-approved nylon lines with a diameter of 2.0 mm to 2.4 mm. Using the correct line ensures optimal performance and reduces wear on the machine.
To adjust the handle, loosen the wing nut on the handlebar and slide it to the desired position. Tighten the wing nut securely to ensure the handle is firmly in place.
Excessive vibration can be due to an imbalanced cutting attachment, loose components, or damaged parts. Check and secure all components, and inspect the cutting attachment for damage or wear.
To extend runtime, use the Eco-mode if available, reduce the cutting speed when full power is not needed, and regularly maintain the tool to ensure efficiency.
The Stihl FSA 90 R is not designed for use in wet conditions. Using it in rain or wet environments can lead to damage or safety hazards. Always ensure the tool is dry before operation.
Always wear protective gear, including gloves, eye protection, and sturdy footwear. Keep bystanders and pets away from the working area, and ensure the tool is switched off when making adjustments or replacing attachments.
