To start the Stihl FS 510 C-M, ensure the trimmer is on a flat surface. Set the choke lever to the cold start position, press the fuel pump bulb at least 5 times, pull the starter rope until the engine fires, then set the choke to run and pull again until it starts.
First, check if there's fuel in the tank and ensure it's fresh. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Make sure the air filter is clean and replace it if necessary. Double-check the choke and throttle settings.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 50 hours of operation. This includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and checking the fuel system for leaks or damage.
The correct fuel mixture for the Stihl FS 560 C-EM is a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to Stihl two-stroke engine oil. This ensures optimal performance and longevity of the engine.
To replace the trimmer line, first turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head cover, take out the old line, and insert the new line according to the directional arrows. Reattach the cover and ensure it is secure.
Loss of power could be due to a clogged air filter, a dirty spark plug, or an incorrect fuel mixture. Clean or replace the air filter and spark plug, and ensure the fuel is mixed at the correct 50:1 ratio.
Excessive vibration may be caused by imbalanced or damaged cutting attachments. Check the attachments for damage and ensure they are properly balanced. Also, inspect the engine mounting and tighten any loose parts.
While aftermarket parts may fit, it is recommended to use genuine Stihl parts to ensure compatibility, performance, and safety. Using non-genuine parts may void your warranty.
Ensure the cutting blade or trimmer line is sharp and properly installed. Regularly clean the cutting attachments and check for wear and tear. Use the recommended cutting attachments for your specific tasks.
Before storing, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the trimmer and check for any damage. Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
