To start the trimmer, ensure the fuel tank is filled, move the stop switch to the start position, set the choke lever to cold start, press the fuel pump bulb until fuel is visible, pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then set the choke lever to run and pull again until the engine starts.
Regularly check the air filter for dirt or damage. Clean it with warm soapy water, rinse, and allow it to dry. Replace the filter if it is damaged or heavily soiled. Ensure it is reinstalled properly to prevent debris from entering the engine.
Use a high-quality 2-cycle engine oil mixed with unleaded gasoline at a ratio of 50:1. Always use fresh fuel and follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the best performance.
Check that the fuel tank is filled with the proper fuel mix, inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the choke and throttle are set correctly. If issues persist, consult the user manual or a professional technician.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting and replacing the spark plug if necessary, lubricating the gearbox, checking the fuel system for leaks, and cleaning the cooling fins.
Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head cover, take out any remaining line, and insert new line into the designated holding slots. Wind the line evenly and reinstall the cover securely.
Check for damaged or unbalanced cutting attachments, ensure the trimmer head is properly installed, and inspect the driveshaft and gearbox for wear or damage. Replace or repair parts as necessary.
Locate the adjustment screws on the carburetor. The "L" screw adjusts low speed, "H" adjusts high speed, and "LA" adjusts idle speed. Turn screws slowly in small increments and test the engine performance. Consult the user manual for specific settings.
Wear protective gear including goggles, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and bystanders. Keep a firm grip on the trimmer and be aware of the cutting direction. Follow all safety instructions provided in the user manual.
Clean the trimmer thoroughly, drain the fuel tank, and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Lubricate metal parts to prevent rust, store in a dry place, and cover it to protect from dust.
