To start the Stihl BR 700 blower, ensure the on/off switch is set to 'on', set the choke to the start position, prime the fuel bulb several times, and pull the starter cord until the engine fires. Then, move the choke to the run position and pull the cord again to start the engine.
Regular maintenance includes checking the air filter and spark plug monthly, cleaning the cooling system every 3 months, and replacing the fuel filter annually. Always refer to the user manual for detailed maintenance instructions.
If the blower won't start, check the fuel tank for fresh fuel, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, clean or replace the air filter, and ensure the on/off switch is functional.
Use a high-quality 89 octane unleaded gasoline mixed with STIHL 2-cycle engine oil at a 50:1 ratio. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
To adjust the throttle settings, locate the throttle cable adjustment screw on the carburetor, then turn it to increase or decrease the idle speed as needed. Ensure the throttle trigger moves freely.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged fan or loose parts. Inspect the fan for damage, tighten any loose screws, and ensure all components are securely in place.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned every 10 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace the filter if it is damaged or heavily soiled.
The Stihl BR 700 blower is designed for outdoor use and can be used in damp conditions, but it should not be used in heavy rain or when there is a risk of water entering the engine.
To store the blower for the winter, drain the fuel tank, clean the unit thoroughly, and store it in a dry, cool place. Consider removing the spark plug and adding a few drops of oil into the cylinder to prevent corrosion.
Low power output can be caused by a clogged air filter, dirty fuel filter, worn spark plug, or exhaust port blockage. Regular maintenance can help prevent these issues.
