To start the Stihl BR 320 blower, ensure the stop switch is in the "RUN" position, set the choke to the "COLD START" position, and press the primer bulb several times. Then, pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Once it fires, move the choke to the "RUN" position and pull the starter again to start the engine.
The Stihl BR 400 requires a fuel mixture of 50:1, which is 50 parts gasoline to 1 part two-stroke engine oil. Use high-quality 89 octane unleaded gasoline and Stihl two-stroke engine oil for optimal performance.
If your Stihl BR 320 is not starting, check the fuel level and ensure you are using the correct fuel mixture. Inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, and clean or replace it if necessary. Additionally, check the air filter for dirt and clean or replace it if needed.
To clean the air filter on your Stihl BR 400, remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Wash the filter in warm, soapy water, rinse it thoroughly, and let it dry completely. If the filter is very dirty or damaged, replace it with a new one.
Excessive vibration in the Stihl BR 320 blower may be caused by loose parts or debris in the fan housing. Check and tighten any loose screws or bolts. Inspect the fan for debris or damage and clean or replace it if necessary.
Regular maintenance on the Stihl BR 400 should be performed after every 10 hours of use. This includes checking the air filter, cleaning the spark plug, inspecting the blower tubes for clogs, and checking fuel lines for any leaks or cracks.
When storing your Stihl BR 320 blower, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the blower thoroughly, including the air filter and cooling fins. Store it in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Loss of power in the Stihl BR 400 blower can be due to a clogged air filter, dirty spark plug, or incorrect fuel mixture. Clean or replace the air filter and spark plug, and ensure that you are using the correct 50:1 fuel mixture.
To adjust the carburetor on your Stihl BR 320, locate the H (high speed) and L (low speed) adjustment screws. Turn each screw clockwise until it is lightly seated, then turn them counterclockwise one full turn. Fine-tune the adjustment by running the engine and adjusting the screws to achieve smooth operation.
Common signs that your Stihl BR 400 needs servicing include difficulty starting, reduced power, unusual noises, excessive vibration, and increased fuel consumption. Regularly inspect and maintain your blower to address these issues promptly.
